EA Monster Hunter rival is called Wild Hearts and is getting a debut trailer this week

EA’s Monster Hunter rival now has an official name – and a trailer premiere date.

The publisher has announced its new game in collaboration with Koei Tecmo and Omega Force is called “Wild Hearts”. In addition, the publisher reveals that we can expect to see the first trailer for the game in less than 48 hours, with the first footage arriving on September 28 at 7am PT/10am ET/3pm BST.

If you’re wondering where this game comes from, EA announced the new title earlier this month. At the time, the game wasn’t even given a name, but was first revealed as a brand new collaboration between EA, Koei Tecmo, and Omega Force.

Not only that, but it was also revealed that the game was set in feudal Japan, something Omega Force has some expertise in with the Dynasty Warriors and Warriors Orochi series. Koei Tecmo, publisher of the Nioh franchise with Team Ninja in recent years, also has an eye for the feudal setting.

At the time of the announcement, EA described the new game as “the next great hunting game”. This line in particular has boosted the Monster Hunter comparisons, as many think EA is gearing up to give Capcom’s series some competition in the monster hunting field.

Whatever Wild Hearts becomes, it won’t be long before we get to see the new game for the first time.

Speaking of which, Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Title Update 2 adds three monsters and weapon transmog this month.
