This is the face of Pixel Watch Photos and the Google Home for Wear operating system

We now know what the Google Photos watch face we saw last month looks like, with Play Store listings showing more of Google Home and Personal Safety for the Pixel Watch today as well.

Given the popularity of watch faces that show family and friends, it’s not surprising that Google has one ready for the Pixel Watch on day one.

Called “Photos” (via Mishaal Rahman on Twitter), you get a circular crop with two possible configurations for the date (represented as day + date) and time (one or two lines). It is quite reminiscent of the Android 12 lockscreen. There may also be the option to have images change and auto cycle for a set period of time.

Meanwhile, the screenshot of the dial selector on the device reveals “Pilot” – a tribute to mechanical watches with magnified 6/9/12 – while we see names like “Ink” and “Pacific”.

We then have Google Home for Wear OS and the simple design of the card list. Smart home devices (thermostat, lamps, etc.) are housed in a rounded rectangle with an icon, background color, device name, and/or room. There are plus and minus buttons for temperature, while presumably you can swipe to adjust brightness, as on Android and the phone app. We also get a preview of the “Person Seen” notification.

As with Google Photos, nothing suggests that Google Home will be exclusive to the Pixel Watch. That said, it will most likely launch first on Google’s wearable.

Finally, we have the Personal Safety app, featured at I/O 2022, to quickly call predefined contacts or emergency services.
