Draymond Green could reportedly face internal discipline after an altercation with Warriors teammate Jordan Poole during practice Wednesday.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania and Anthony Slater quoted sources with knowledge of the incident as saying there was a “heated interaction” with Green Poole “striking vigorously” before the two had to be quickly separated.
The Warriors immediately stopped training after the incident and Green’s internal discipline is said to be imminent, according to The Athletic.
Wednesday is not the first time Green and Poole have been involved in an incident. In a November 10 game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Green was engaged in a verbal altercation with Poole on the Warriors’ bench before the two finally fought it out after the game.
Shortly after news of Wednesday’s incident came out, KRON-TV’s Jason Dumas reported seeing Poole seemingly in a good mood as he snapped and laughed with teammates Patrick Baldwin Jr. and Lester Quinones.
Two sources have confirmed with me the altercation between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole.
I saw Jordan Poole shoot after practice today. Seemed to be in a good mood, was even laughing. PBJ and Lester Quinones were the only other guys on the field at the time I shot this. pic.twitter.com/FtxYo5XgH6

It remains to be seen what internal discipline will follow, but the situation certainly seems more serious than the “bickering” described by Klay Thompson after the first Poole-Green incident last season.
