While most automakers settle for recognizing important anniversaries by giving special badges or an exclusive paint job to a vehicle, Nissan decided to pull out all the stops. Celebrating half a century of its defining model (known as the Skyline GT-R until 2007), it teamed up with Italdesign, also on the brink of turning 50, to create a celebratory version of the sports car. to create. The car debuted as a concept in 2018 and shortly after Nissan announced it would go into production. The plan was to build 50 copies of the striking coupe, although Legendary Motorcar claims that only 19 went off the line, with this being number 11.
Inside the Nissan GT-R50 2021
It’s amazing that interest was muted – Nissan finally closed the order books this summer – because the GT-R50 is one of the more distinctive sports cars in recent memory. Italdesign took the athletic body of the regular GT-R and made it more impressive and angular. The coach-built vehicle looks more like a muscle car than anything else Nissan has ever released. This special version is executed in Liquid Silver with red Nismo accents and is equipped with the optional hydraulic rear wing. The interior is finished in black Italian leather and Alcantara, with red contrast stitching and accents throughout.
What really makes the car so special, though, is what’s under the hood. The GTR-50 is really a dream car for enthusiasts. It is powered by a 3.8-litre V-6 with upgraded turbos from the GT3 race car. The mill can produce a ferocious 710 horses and 585 ft lbs of twist, which is sent to the rear axle via a modified six-speed dual clutch transmission. It also rides on revised suspension with an adaptive Bilstein damping system and has Brembo brakes on the front and rear wheels, which are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

The GT-R50 that Legendary Motorcar sells is brand new, with only delivery miles on the odometer. No costs are mentioned in the list, but we expect it to be close to the vehicle’s original $1.1 million price tag.
