Elden Ring Patch Data Found Suggesting Colosseum Battles Coming

Elden Ring miner Sekiro Dubi recently revealed in a post that upcoming updates to the latest FromSoftware game may indeed feature player-vs-player Colosseum battles. The statement included a short video showing Sekiro Dubi’s character in a colosseum, while four in-game text banners with the words “Begin Match”, “You Win”, “Draw” and “You Lose” were continuously displayed in a loop. The background of the video also showed two units engaged in combat, suggesting that the future DLC pack may include other unique PvP features.

Elden Ring v1.07 added 4 new parameters for 4 new text banners to be displayed on the screen. They correspond to 1.0 unused text, as shown in the video. I believe they are related to Colosseums, suggesting the shape of a Gauntlet. 1.07 text only says “Enemy Defeated” pic.twitter.com/XodKxn6ouk

The clip showed the structure and sheer size of the unfinished stadium. While there is still a lot of fine-tuning to be done, the video only confirms that the shooting of arenas in Elden Ring is already underway.

Another future capability in Elden Ring is the proposed inclusion of ray tracing in the patch data. Lance McDonald revealed that the latest update to Elden Ring “adds menu sets related to ray tracing features.” In particular, a photo in his post shows code stating that “enabling ray tracing locks performance settings to prioritize quality.”

Numerous other improvements are coming in the upcoming patch 1.07, including several improvements to gameplay stability and balance adjustments for various abilities, magic, and incantations.
