Goldman Plans Major Reorganization, Combining Investment Banking and Trading

Goldman Sachs Group plans to split its largest companies into three divisions, undertaking one of the largest realignments in the history of the Wall Street company.

Goldman will combine its flagship investment banking and trading business in one unit, while merging asset and wealth management in another, people familiar with the matter said. Marcus, Goldman’s consumer banking division, will be part of the wealth and wealth management unit, the people said.
