Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez, were spotted this week in Italy for the billionaire to receive a philanthropic award, while Bezos’ ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott, donated millions of her own wealth to another cause. .
The pair were seen as they left the Court restaurant in Rome holding hands before Sanchez posted on her Instagram account that Bezos had received the Vatican’s Galileo Prophets Philanthropy Prize.

Sanchez did not disclose details of the prize, but said Bezos’ speech could be found on the website of the Bezos Earth Fund, a $10 billion initiative launched by the businessman.
Earlier this week, Scott, who has also donated billions since she and Bezos divorced in 2019, was recognized for contributing $15 million to VisionSpring, an organization that provides affordable eyewear to low-income people around the world.

VisionSpring said in a press release that Scott’s gift is considered the largest private donation ever made to directly address uncorrected vision problems as a poverty intervention.
